Turns out my mats do have the hole, but where the mat's a bit worn the fibres have covered over it 
You can buy the clips on ebay, they're used on lots of models of Toyota.

I bought the hooks ages ago for both sides of mine.. got 'em off ebay. Just had a quick scan but can't seem to find any..

Toyota part number is PZ410-99350-01 and they retail at 67p each. Possibly the cheapest genuine Toyota part!

ive got the clip but the clip pops out and the mats still move
