Yeah, oil, temp/pressure, water temp etc.

Might get one then.

If I ever find out how much they are I'll let you know....that's unless I have a heart attack when fnding it out.

Enis,
The Motec dash is the buisness, it displays everything the Motec reads at the touch of a couple of buttons and all from 1 wire!
BUT there touching on 3k, now pick your self up of the floor LOL

Then maybe you might want one of these instead:
http://www.race-technology.com/Site1_UK ... splay.html

A damn sight cheaper, although I'm not sure if it defo works with a MoTeC ECU (if the makers have been clever, then it *should* do!).

Regarding a CO-style CC system, I can think of something better - a Refridgerated CC system! ;)

BTW, well done Mark!! Now keep on chipping away at that time! :D

Refridgerated?? Can't be serious!

I'll have a look at that link tomorrow I think. But I think a laptop will do.

I did think about that, running the a/c through it. I'm sure the power gain would far outweigh the loss from running the a/c. Just couldn't be bothered in the end, too much mucking about, plus problems with the gas if you ever needed to remove it.

I'm afraid this one will stay Top Secret until it's done. I drew up extensive plans for this over a year ago, but wanted to get the CC system sorted first.

It won't be something I'll be offering out to others, either, as it'll all need to be control by a very good ECU - not something everyone has. And besides, if people are moaning about the cost of a decent CC system, there's no way they'd swallow the cost of this little baby! :D

No problem Dino,

However, I'll be running a Motec for definate, also I'm not fussed on the price if it's worth it. I will be going for your cc anyway. Just make sure it can be upgraded or something :D . Unless of course you have it developed before I buy one of your cc's. It'll be a while yet for me as I'm saving up to get a tilton clutch. Funny thing is when I told the Mrs the price she didn't seem phased at all. Not sure what to think of that.

Over and out,

While you guys are talking about the effect of temperature can you tell me whether an electronic boost controller would have maintained the correct level of boost in that heat (regardless of the fact that the thinner air would not have been so effective).

I have a grainger valve and my level of boost seemed to be down, probably about 5 to 8%.

Depending on how well the closed loop boost control is, then yes, it will try to maintain the set level of boost. Some controllers are better than others though.

Nope it doesn't work with Motec.

Here's their email,

Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately, our Dash2 has been designed to be
compatible only with our own loggers. We may at some future stage build in
compatibility with other manufacturers.

If you have any further questions, please get back to me.
