I managed to bag one for under

£20 so i bought it.

Mini review:

It's a very well presented bundle, The games are emulated almost flawlessly TBH as i've only noticed the odd sound sample problem with the PS3 version where a couple of sound effects in the odd game sound a little corrupted.

I'm not sure why they say it's

"HD" you have an option to turn on smoothing which is a super scaler you would have come across if you ever play emulators on a PC so they don't look as pixelated.

I was put off by some of the screenshots/vids i'd seen on the net before i purchased it but once its all moving and your sat on the otherside of the room and not a foot away from your TV screen i don't think it looks that bad.

The inclusion of Achievements/Trophies are a good way of getting everyone buying and playing these old titles but they're way too easy to get

(probably done on purpose to help sell it as they've already released a similar compilation for last gen and you can play the games for free with emulators off the net) most aren't stage/complete the game related as the original roms are being emulated so the original Mega Drive built in cheats are still accessable but the only ones that were challenging for me were reach level 11 on Vectorman 2 and complete Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine, not easy those 2 but Ecco for instance bronze trophy for speaking to another dolphin

(which you do as soon as you start the game)

There's 49 games on it in total.

7 are arcade games and 2 are master sytem titles which you have to unlock

(again not very difficuly) There's a few duffers on there

(for me) but overall it's a good selection and when mates are round it's difficult not to load up and have a quick game of Columns, Golden Axe or Streets of Rage

It's a shame there's no online play but it proably woundn't be easy thing to pull off without rewriting the games but an online Hi-Score table is unforgivable nowadays.

It's also a shame they didn't include more MD/random arcade games to unlock and charge a bit more

(DLC, Sequel perhaps???) but there's no sign of Action Fighter, Outrun, Super Hang-On, After Burner, Super Monaco GP, Crack Down, Galaxy Force II, Rolling Thunder, Shadow Dancer, Splatter House, Thunder Force, and WONDERBOY!!! all would have been worthy of a place in this collection.

If you like the old stuff, and can get it for under

£20 it's money well spent
