I traded it for a 2001 MGF. The MK1 had a new problem every week. So far the MG has been fine. I do miss the mk1 though. Now that I have a garage I might get a wee project.

I'm virtually certain I saw this on the A174 this morning coming out of Redcar - Definitely G*something*RMY and definitely dark blue...
In fact, thinking about it it had a square front plate too.
