Spec:
Professionally built Toyota MR2 MK1 race car

Built by Formula 1 McLaren engineers originally. In the year I have had it it has been thoroughly maintained by Rogue Motorsport Racing and I have receipts for over £2000.

The car was completely stripped to a shell in 2003/04 and completely rebuilt with either new or fully reconditioned parts including………

All new poly Superflex suspension bushes and wheel bearings

All suspension sand blasted and painted including new trailing links and new wheel bearings all round and TRD top mounts.

KYB dampers and P.I. Springs

New discs (plus a new set last season) and the top spec Carbotec pads also new last year, previously reconditioned brake calipers and master cylinder

Reconditioned steering rack

Complete wiring loom removed and Raychem DR25 shrinkwrapped

Military spec switches inc. for starting and LED rain light fitted

Shell steam cleaned and sand blasted before full professional respray in 2-pack Lamborghini silver with graphite bonnet, so very clean and rust free. It did get a shove on the driver side rear quarter in one race last year which is repaired but not perfect. Similarly front nose cone and bonnet is a little out of kilter, but nothing serious.

Reconditioned gearbox a couple of seasons ago and new clutch last year.
Reconditioned starter motor late last year (November 08).

New alternator a couple of years ago.

Recent throttle cable

New clutch and master cylinders a couple of years ago.

Brake, clutch and fuel lines. BF Goodridge braided brake lines.

Nuts and bolts mostly high tensile cap head screws and K-nuts or nylons

Fuel pump and filters

All injectors have been sonically cleaned, recent HT leads, distributor cap and rotor arm, coil and iridium spark plugs

Recent rubber hoses and clips (oil hoses lightweight braided)

Recent radiator and stone guard fitted

Full roll cage including side bars - a proper safety devices one.

Recent windscreen

Lightweight exhaust

New air filter to ensure cold intake only last year.

Recent battery relocated to front

SPA fully fitted fire extinguisher system (might need re-checking)

Four point seatbelts and Momo steering wheel

New Sparco Pro2000 seat last season

Momo pedal extensions

Alcantara trimmed dash

Low mileage engine with good power and reliability & crackle red cam covers! This is a very strong and reliable engine!

Wheels and tyres - depending on sale price I have standard MK1a wheels, and two sets of incredibly light Volk wheels - proper one peice forged. One bronze set of TE37s with barely used R888s on, and one set with BRAND NEW R888s on. Both championship legal with a +38 offset.

Spark plugs and oil and filter change prior to last race

Car is incredibly light. Weighed at 935kg before driver.

Ready to be raced.

Car is not road legal so unfortunately no test driving - but is at Rogue Motorsport so it probably can do a round of the yard. :mrgreen:

File full of receipts for parts purchased and have V5 log book - car first registered 23/09/85. So it's a MK1a. Meticulously maintained by me with receipts for over £2000 last year, a mechanically brilliant car with a rust free floor pan!

I am only selling for health reasons.

£3000 ovno with one of the sets of lightweight black Rays and new R888s.
£2500 with standard MK1a wheels and you will need to organise your tyres.
