Re: Issues running free flow exhaust
Who all has had them? My nur spec constantly blew the knock sensor. I've recently bought dravens engine and ecu however and he informed me his ran with no issues. So what is the deal with this ? My engine has suffered damage to the ringlands and the problems only happened after the exhaust was fitt...

Re: Issues running free flow exhaust
My nur spec constantly blew the knock sensor. The information of a problem was clear, not sorting it would damage the engine next, and it did. There are way too many people with cars changing things without the knowledge to understand what they are doing, not just MR2s but it keeps us all in work. ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Better air intake temp. sensor.
I have a rev 3 turbo, it has a standard air intake temperature sensor, which is very slow to respond with up to date temps. (apexi pfc readings). I remember a few years ago you could get the sensor off a rx7 which worked on the mr2 and was more responsive, however i can no longer find this sensor, ...

If the clutch is not engaging you just have to find the pin in the body loom and repin to pin in engine loom.

Re: Issues running free flow exhaust
In theory it could allow boost creep (depending on the waste gate set up). If this means that the car was running above safe boost and was consequently detonating, and the driver kept driving it like this, then yes- you'd kill the engine pretty quick. But if this was the case you'd expect the drive...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Electrical gremlins visitation.
It needs a good wiggle to get it out of the pivot mounting mate Correct. Then be prepared to have to remove gearbox mount, lower subframe, remove exhaust B pipe. Not all always necessary, but quite normal to have to do so. How difficult are these things to do Peter? All fairly straightforward. But ...

You'll never successfully drill out and retap such a small steel bolt out of an aluminium housing.
Secondhand distributor should cost you less than £30.

Well there's only 3 reasons:
1) it was already out

Did you check the cam timing like i suggested?
