[Mk2] [NA] After market catalytic convertor
Hello, my Rev 4, which does legally require a cat, currently has a blue flame exhaust with a straight through pipe fitted instead of the cat. MOT time is looming again and I want to get a cat instead of having to borrow one for the MOT again. Does anyone know where is best/cheapest place to get one ...

[Mk2] [Generic] Clear Plastic instrument cover - How easy to change?
Hello, I want to change the clear plastic cover which sits in front of the speedo, rev counter etc on the dash as the one in place now is really scratched. Mr T quotes the part at £16 and in order to avoid a nasty bill for labour at Mr T prices I am thinking of changing it myself. My question is has...

[All] [Generic] Dirty Exhaust - What do I clean it with?
Hello, I've had a Blue Flame exhaust for about nine months and what was once all nice and shiney is now horrible and dull.
Any ideas as to how or what I can clean it with to make it look decent again.

[Mk2] [NA] Cat needed, MOT fail on Co2 emissions
Hello, my Rev 4 NA has a blue flame exhaust and de-cat pipe on it. It failed its MOT on Co2 emissions yesterday and I don't have the old cat, it had to be cut off when fitting the new exhaust as it was rusted on, so I don't have a cat to fit for the re-test. Does anyone have a cat I could lend for t...

[Mk2] [Generic] What have I melted?
I've made a bungle. I was de-badging the boot, getting rid of the two stuck on badges by firstly warming them up with a hair dryer as mentioned in a few posts I read when searching for instructions on how to de-badge. The toyota one came off fine. I warmed up the 2.0GT-i badge on the offside only to...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Replacing the gearbox oil, how much oil to fill the box?
Thanks for the that.
I will use those instructions when I do the box oil change at the weekend.
The handbook states box capacity is only 2.6 litres but everywhere else people who've done the oil change are saying around 4 litres.
I'll go with those who've actually done the change.
Thanks again.

[Mk2] [Generic] Which spark plugs to buy?
Hi, I have a Rev 4 NA with 79k on the clock.
It has a blueflame exhuast and de-cat pipe and an Apexi induction kit, no further mods planned.
Does anyone know whether the iridium plugs are worth the extra cash or should I stick with the platinum ones.

Thanks.

Thanks.

[Mk2] [Generic] Just bought my first MR2 - service ideas? help!
Hi All, I bought a Rev 4 NA with 79k on the clock a couple of weeks ago. The cambelt was changed at 72k. I have just changed the oil and filter after using a flushing oil. I am going to flush out the coolant and replace with fresh Forlife. Can anyone advise what else I should be looking to change? A...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Cooling system overhaul - Oil cooler? forlife? - help needed
I've had a nasty experience with a previous car, not a 2, where cracked hoses and a knackered rad have cost me £££s after enthusiastic driving. It's a R plate and i'm just going to overhaul a few bits, cooling system and brakes first up as I want to keep it running smooth for a good few years yet. :...

[Mk2] [Generic] Cooling system overhaul - Oil cooler? forlife? - help needed
Hi All, I have a Rev 4 NA and I want to overhaul the cooling system. I was thinking new rad, new hoses, flush out an replace coolant. Anyone know what else I should replace and which hoses to replace and where to get them from? I was looking at samco but they only seem to do a set for the tubby. Is ...
