[Mk2] [Generic] REFUND NEEED
For many years I subscribed to imoc, I even doubled my contribution to fees to keep imoc going. This is the second time fees have been deducted without authorisation though. Paypal no help so far. No resonse to the person I asked last time. Please someone look into this. It's only £7'odd -but it's n...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help me remove this aftermarket wheel/boss AAARRGGHH!!
there is the no tools way of doing it. put the nut back on a couple of turns, put the aftermarket wheel back on firmly. put the driver's seat back and go ape-poop trying to pull it off. The nut stops it hitting you in the face. The other way is to use a bearing/hub puller. Having sustained a hefty ...

Re: £118 Distributor Cap??
In the past I have had a couple of issues with nipparts items but never had a glitch with blueprint. I usually always compared prices with OEM, sometimes it's not always worth the difference -and like said before, for "difficult parts" sometimes better to pay more and the security of doing...

Re: 99 BEAMS REV 5
From speaking to owners of them - they say they are pretty much like a normal NA but if you like to rev your cars out the beams drives ok. Couldn't help you with a stock car but I swapped an SW20 BEAMS into my 1993 rev 2. I've had gen 2 N/A and a gen 3 turbo (MR2 and GT4) and the BEAMS was still my...

17" Axxion 4 stud alloy wheels with Kumho Ecsta tyres
Hello, Took these very straight wheels and tyres off my Roadster this morning but I'd not personally recommend them for a MK3 so posting in here. 4-off 17"x7 Axxion alloys -not sure on model. ET35. 4x100 PCD and I think it has 4x108mm PCD also. Some scuff marks rather than kerbing but one edge ...

Re: Back in an MR2
bloody ell! That's some journey  How did garage take the update? To be honest I haven't had the chance to go back to the garage yet -and it's just the typical luck that happens to me all the time so I loose enthusiasm chasing everyone (doesn't happen to me at work though). I haven't said any...

Re: Back in an MR2
Bit of an eventful first trip with the car. I didn't have time to service it myself so I handed parts over to a garage literally just over the road from work and they serviced it for me. That was a little over a week ago. It went in running sweet as a nut but I knew the belt looked more like a sumo ...

Re: Back in an MR2
Cheers folks. Na, no major mods on this one, cant be bothered with the insurance loading and Ive been there with engine swaps on my MK2. I spent 10's of k's playing / tuning previous cars. No workshop this time and money is allot tighter as I cant get back offshore anymore so Im happy with just tidy...

I must be daftbut definately have to look at changing my diet to beans and thin white toast now. Got me a MK3 as a weekend car again! http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu17/RSTA/Black%20MR2%20Roadster/IMAG2058.jpg ...One of my colleagues had his Porker in today, who would have imagined the Boxster ...

Re: Is this any good for monitoring intake temps?
When you remove the metal ring your looking for a k type thermocouple like in this pic .. this is the type of sensor that works best for air temp .. had a few over the years . Thermocouples are not that great at measuring temps in that range TBH, there are are allot better probes (more expensive th...

Re: Best Floor Mats - Autostyle, Matcraft or Carmats Uk?
Well, seems like I might be the first guy to replace his mats, I'll keep you fellows posted on my search. First, carmats UK won't ship internationally. Not sure why but they refuse (I'm in Canada). Matcraft also refused to ship international but I begged them to reconsider so they tried to scare me...

...shame most of that appears in Russian on my PC, but yes, there are other sources. I feel quite strongly for SARD, But perhaps they weren't the best racers so understand why it never lasted in that entity.

Re: Rain Repellents
Meguires glass polish (the very light blue cream polish) is the best thing I've used by far. It lifts dirt when you polish it off, I don't like beading on my screen -after using this the water just runs off rather than beading, bit difficult to describe but very good product. Keep your windows clean...

Re: Rain Repellents
Er,a negatory for rain X for me. It coated the windscreen horribly -my wipers smeared and took months of scrubbing to get it off. Each to their own -I personally find additives like this far worse than cleaning and then changing blades regularly * might be good on track but on the road is a total ne...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] sound deadening
I always used stuff from car builder solutions (cheaper than named dynomat). Admittedly pulling off trim and putting it back is tedious -but well worth it, just use 2/3 layers on doors IMO.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Garages in Scotland to fit a chargecooler??
If you're not fussed about location I and many others can very highly recommend Nick at Custom Craft in Elgin. He put an absolutely beautiful system on my 2JZGTE Aristo and also put nice systems on my two Celica GT4's. I have to try him for my Merc as it needs a couple of discreet mid -silencers. I ...

Re: Is the Celica GT4 a good MR2 Tubby replacement?
It's funny how GT4's get blamed for poor returns, my first black one would regularly do almost 430miles per tank, my second one was on the way there with about 400miles ...I guess they'd both do less than 10 if I wanted to but that's not too shabby and perfectly liveable with. They were actually pre...

Re: Is the Celica GT4 a good MR2 Tubby replacement?
Had 2-off SW20's and 2-off ST205's: The interior of a 205 feels much less encapsulating than an sw20. The dashboard is allot more basic. The seats in a 205 are also much more lacking -nice enough seats but don't capture you much. The boot in a 205 is just awful because of the hump for the spare whee...
