Common option is for the stock fuel rail up to 850cc. No real point going top feed unless you're going up to the ID range. That genuinly is the 'norm'. Piecing together injectors as you describe wasn't done really. Not saying it's not possible, but usually finantially not worth it. Not that i'd buy ...

In all honesty, the best, easiest, most reliable and tested option is a K-swap imho. A stock unopened engine will deal with 500hp, the swap kits are readily available and very well priced and the platform still has HUGE support. It's not a rare or expensive engine and easy to build, replace to impro...

Nice one Ryan. I thought the same with the WG, was horrid unless you were in hero mode then it was awesome. But it's not the top gun fighter jet sound that everyone talks about. Should be exactly the right sweet spot now. Whatever you do, don't chase for more power. It'll lead for down a shitty path...

did you check your ignitor? they crack and cause all sorts of missfire issues under boost.
