I always wanted to do a 2.2/35r set-up and never found out what it was like,go for it .

I know its a PITA but make sure you're bleeding the coolant correctly.As james said,symptoms of a cracked blocked are v. common, and rarely visible (they just weep commonly)

ok,this is the way i remember it goes (please correct if i'm wrong guys) 1)TVIS plug 2)Goes to sensor on rear of water housing 3)goes to temp sensor on front of water housing 4)poss oil pressure 5)I.C. fan plug 6)EGT or O2 sensor plug (will only go one way afaik) this is from memory so some may not ...
