Re: Turbo pressure sensor and pipe?
Its a rev 2. Not sure if its calibrated. In regards to mods: Exhaust & decat, intercooler, larger induction kit, and boost gauge and manual boost control. Looks like its over-boosting as well, but i dont know enough about all this boost jargen to know how to go about adjusting it. Im assuming i ...

Turbo pressure sensor and pipe?
My car was booked in for a dyno run today to sort its mis-firing issue, but unfortunately didnt get tested..... When the foot hit the floor, nothing happened, and error codes 34 and 48 (definitely 34, but not sure about 48) came up. Basically, turbo pressure sensor and throttle position sensor. So.....

Re: Help with insurance please
Ive was with direct line for 5 years with 8yrs no claims discount.... My latest quote came through and it had doubled! Understandably i asked them why. They said that due to the 2 icy spells we had, insurance had gone up by 35-40% Subsequently i told them to cancel my policy and i am now with sky in...

Re: losing power.
Seems to be sorted. Replaced the spark plugs but continued to misfire, so i took it too a garage. They suggested that it was over boosting, and told me to put it on a rolling road to tune it up. Thats all booked up for next week but in the meantime i have changed the HT leads, dizzy cap and rotor ar...

My MR2 is in desperate need of a service, but not in the style of "pay me £150 and ill change your oil". I need someone who knows the MR2 inside out. The turbo side of things is very new to me and i don't yet understand all this boost jargen, but i know enough to know that its not running ...

losing power.
Right then, the car is driving fine until i put my foot down.
The turbo begins kicking in then all of a sudden the car looses power and sounds/feels like its miss-firing, with a grumble coming from somewhere in the back.
Any ideas?

Re: Afew Questions From Potential MR2 Owner
My insurance company (direct line) wouldn't insure me on my Turbo unless i was over 25, so good job i am! its a little more than my last mr2 which was an auto (non-turbo) and that cost the same to insure as a smart car. Id phone around with a few registrations of cars that your interested in and see...

Turbo Gaskets
Right then, after finally getting hold of a turbo and an oil feed pipe it turns out that i need some bloody gaskets as well. Understandable of course, apart from the fact that Toyota want £120!....not so understandable (Bearing in mind that these are the same people that wanted £70 for ONE drop-link...

Re: Desperately need help....and a new turbo!
I have a boost gauge, but its not electronic. Japspeed de-cat exhaust, Metal head gasket, Large induction kit, large intercooler with hard pipes and a boost controller. Current turbo is a CT26. Any ideas what might have caused the crack? Ive had it for about 3 months, and iits always been warmed up ...

Desperately need help....and a new turbo!
Hey Guys, happy new year to you all. 2011 has welcomed itself with a cracked turbo. I believe its a standard (CT9 i think). Just need some advice on the following: 1) Can it be refurbished, and if so is it something i can do myself? there is one on Ebay at the moment with play in the wheel, so is it...
