Re: opinions of different makes of tyres

I've just put a set of falkens on mine. Its my first 2 and i've only owned it a few weeks so I guess not the best person to comment but I think they handle fine. Plenty grippy when pushing and fine in the wet too. Especially for the price. Got mine from camskill. HTH

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Non-Start and clicking from the rear

Thanks alot for the reply. Will be having a good look at the battery and starter this weekend and will post up the results.

I've always used a local place for batterys and never had any trouble but if i go down that route will be carefull. Thanks.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Non-Start and clicking from the rear

Definately no build up of crud on the terminals. They look mint.

How much of a job is swapping the starter?? Also how much should i expect to pay for another/a refurb?

Thanks.

Well for the second time now my rev 3 tubby wouldn't start earlier. I had just driven home from work, and I went out probably 20 mins later and it wouldn't start. I switched the ignition on and switched the immobilisor off and immidiately a clicking noise started from the engine bay. Under further i...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Interior Light/Door Shut Sensor

On the way home tonight the intrior light came on and the light on the dash lit to show a door was open. I stopped and checked nothing was amiss but couldn't get it to go out? When i got home i checked all the obvious things pressed the switches a few times incase they were stuck. I've done a search...

Re: Hel braided brake lines

Supposedly rubber hoses can expand when under heavy breaking causing less effective breaking, more so if the hoses are older. To be honest i've only ever replaced mine when a rubber one has failed since i'd have thought the braided ones would last alot better. The brakes have always felt sharp and r...

On all the cars i've had i've always thought braided hoses were worth every penny. Never used that brand before but can't see why there should be anything wrong with them?
