Re: Shall I sell Rocky?

You could sell, and spend it on the MK2 Escort I can see in the pics :) :thumleft: :thumleft: That is my daughters, and I am not sure how much it would cost to get the same performance as from the MR2. Someone suggested a Golf GTI but that is just not the same as being in the MR2, it is the whole l...

That is not just a car, it is a work of art. Put it in the Tate Modern instead of the piles of crap they have in there at the moment.

Shall I sell Rocky?

Because of a bad back part of me says sell Rocky (yes my MKII rev2 has got a name, don't all cars?), but part says it is such bloody good fun when I can drive it that it is worth just keeping for regular polishing and occasional driving. It is away on holiday for the bank holiday weekend having a re...

Silver/Grey MKII in Rochford, Essex

Hi

Passed a grey or silver grey MKII in Rochford earlier this evening (about 4/5pm. Missed saying hi as I was paying attention to my wife who was a few cars behind who I was escorting over to a mechanic in Stambridge to get the broken exhaust fixed, so apologies, I was not ignoring you.

Medway MR2

Hi

That looks fantastic, what an amazing amount of thought and care. Can't wait to see it all finished.

One sad thing that shows my age is I thought "wow, where did he get the WD40 with that spray top fitted from"!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Is this supension adjustable?

looks like pretty stock suspension strut painted red? If it is adjustable you will have either a knob (Err  ) at the bottom of the strut or possibly a dial at the top (in the frunk where the top mount bolts to car). If the springs are lowered its probably them causing harsh ride. Hi Ok, th...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Is this supension adjustable?

Hi This is a photo of my front driver side suspension, is there any way to adjust this to get a 'smoother' ride. On some roads I have to hold the underneath of the steering wheel to avoid my fillings coming loose. I have wire brushed it and wiped down with WD40, but it still looks a bit of a state. ...

Now if you buy the Fiesta you could do it as a project! Can you imagine a standard looking Fiesta doing 0-60 in 5.5?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Engine/suspension questions

looks like there is a nonstandard air flow meter - turbo hard pipe. that could possibly have to be changed to revert to a stock set up. take a look at this picture, at a guess you would need the parts labeled "Blow-off valve (BOV)" and maybe the part labeled "Intake piping" you ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Engine/suspension questions

that bell thing is an aftermarket dump valve. replacing it with a standard item will improve the driveability and fuel consumption of your MR2 plus stop thwe chavvy "ptscch" noise everytime you let off the throttle on boost Hi The fuel gauge does seem to move quickly, is it just a replace...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Engine/suspension questions

Hi This is really a few questions that I am sure will show my ignorance and give some people a laugh. 1) The link below is to a photo of my MkII engine, what is the bell shaped thing in the middle? http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4024/4408357439_a754ec54c5_b.jpg 2) The ride is so hard I think my fill...

Black MR2 (MkII) Southend, Essex

Hi Saw a black MR2 MKII at lights (by Priory Park) this morning as I was walking to work, it was heading out of Southend at about 06:45 but in the dark I could not make out any more details (but it looked pretty standard), as I have just got a black MR2 I would like to have a look at it if anyone kn...

Rev meaning and tyre pressures?

Hi Perhaps these are so easy everyone else knows? But only just getting an MR2 I would like to know: How do you know what 'Rev' your car is, I know mine is a 93 import Mk II Turbo, but what rev? My wheels/tyres are Lenso 17'' Stage 1 with 215/40 R17 tyres and was going to do the pressure all round a...

Re: New MR2 owner

Welcome to the club buddy :thumright: :thumleft: What colour are you thinking of doing it ? Hi Thanks for all the welcomes. I was going to keep it black to avoid having a complete respray. It has to be done on a reasonable budget at the moment but in the future would like it looking like some of th...

New MR2 owner

Hi Have just inherited my son's 93 MR2 turbo as he bought a new car and still owed me money (always owes me money!). He left it for me with the front and wing damaged after saying hello to a raised light island in his works car park. Have bought a new Lenso Stage 1 wheel for a damaged one (and reall...
