You could try using a plastic dye spray which is available from Halfords. It worked well on my handles and door cards.

You could try pressing "control F5" which should get the page from the source rather than any caches along the way.

I bought a Mountney steering boss from Halfords, it ended up costing something like £40 but it was suprisingly good. It fitted my old Momo steering wheel with no probs. Worst part was trying to get the old Toyota steering wheel off.

My guess is a poor ground connection. Check the resistance from the bulb ground connector to the chassis it should idealy be 0 but if its more that 1 or 2 ohms then that could be the prob.
