Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bootmount vs Chargecooler
think it's horses for couses really, but more of the big builds seem to go bootmount - and there's less to go wrong with a bootmount. people as you know have had great results with both options. hehe - just realised i've been absolutely no help at all LOL

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Greenspeed kevlar clutch
scooby boys don't seem to rate their twin plate. looking on the web they do seem quite hard to find info about, don't they. maybe it'd be safer to get a better known brand ?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Apexi hand commander frozen on start up screen - help
back of mine shows FCC2 TS etc. - - but toyokid is right when incompatable c's and commanders are connected, it freezes on that screen this link (below) seems to suggest that the rev 3+ commander will be an FCC TS (like mine) and the FCC NT seems to be on some nissans and scoobies ... maybe the old ...

Re: ditched phoenix power PRO and gone with Apexi GT! *EDIT, now back to PRO*
much prefer the new apexi Jim, back looks more purposeful now, but i can see how some people think it takes away from the symetrical look ... if you want symetrical just graduate the screamer to a 3 inch pipe out the other side LOL

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] GT2876r
... remember i'm on a different mani, have a much bigger wastegate AND a smaller turbo - if my boost crept, there'd be no hope of control for the big turbos LOL. username and others have found this un-necessary though even with the bigger turbo. also remember a lot of the US guys have creep with the...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] GT2876r
mine makes 0.9 bar with the controller turned off and holds to 8200rpm. think it's meant to be a 0.8, so it's pretty close. high boost is set as 1.7. GT28 you link to is a T25 footprint, so you will need different adapter too. I'd still be thinking more about sorting out the wastegate/adapter than s...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] GT2876r
Yank dyno's seem to have the GT2876 @ about 300 -350 hp on mr2s.
With the current setup, maybe you and cantfindausername can discover the differences in the 2 setups and help sort this out for your mate.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] GT2876r
Mr Nut - i don't think a GT28 would cope well with 400hp - AND - it;ll have a different footprint to the GT35 (i'm pretty sure it will anyway, so that'd be another adapter etc.) Also, see this US OC thread (started by trickster form here LOL) about GT35 + 38mm wastegate. http://www.mr2oc.com/showthr...

glad to hear it's progressing. hope final mapping goes well when all issues sorted.
mines going great at the moment, happy to say. passed MOT for another year yesterday, so got treated to an oil and filter change today.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] what power will my rev 2 gts make before i have to start replacing internals?
when i had rev 2 engine running similar to yours (but with a greddy IC and a downpipe) it made just over 250bhp - yours may be at a similar place now.
useful (if old now) link : http://www.mrcontrols.com/primers/power.htm
based on the yankee info, but some good pointers anyway.
