Re: REF engine mounts

I am using the superflex (yellow) bushes, these are a bit too tight to be honest and make the car shake when at idle :) They rock on hard launches though.... :) Think the pair were £35 - £40 for front and rear mounts (£18 each or so) from grahame good racing, he does a PDF brochure of the mounts. I...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 head. Change cams or head

if those are the mesurements of the throttle body then i stand corrected :) i will measure a rev 1 and 3 this weekend to double check. again if you work on m3/m5 and evos then very good for you i dont envy you even less room in engine bay. if i had any of those cars i would take them to a main deale...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 head. Change cams or head

The fact that an engine survives a few 1/4 mile run doesn't mean it's well built. To me a well built engine stands the test of time and repeat performs again and again. But thats just my opinion. I use the car day in and day out and its done about 20k with this engine and all the ones i have done i...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 head. Change cams or head

yeah paul i do just read things off the net thats why i cant belive you are running 87mm pistons  is 14 years in a garage supposed to impress me. i have taken my cars to them as a last resort before and normally you get a half wit who ends up breaking it even further ](*,) . mind you if a tyre...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 head. Change cams or head

the port spacing is diffrent so it wont work and thottle body is not 6mm bigger. having more air go in to the middle of these manifolds is a waste as it leans them out even more. mounting the thottle on the end is the only real safe option. if looking for more power this is one of the last things t...

Re: My MR2 - the dark destroyer

I just got hold of a gear box out of a st165 and thanks for the ofter ,you will lose most of your turbo lag with it and where did you get your tyres from as i am hoping to get in the 11s next year ,and then i will be going for a bigger turbo ,getting the running gear all done 1st.

Re: My MR2 - the dark destroyer

Interesting you say that about bottle location. I was informed that the ideal location was near enough upright.... im in talks with Trevor Langfield so im sure he'll be advising me anyhow. Thats good results with your setup - are you using the maximiser? Na than[/quote] Hi i was using the maximiser ...

Where the marks are you flat the paint with a 2000 grit paper and then buff the paint back up it will look better or if they are not to deep you may not have to paint it .Paul
