Re: AE92 4AGZE in trouble
Hey Lauren, Thanks for the reply, Toyota won't let me have them without a VIN but hopefully I'll surmount that issue! I haven't actually had the top off the engine yet so am going to arrange for that but the guy who did have a look said that conrods might be damaged. What I do know is that it has lo...

AE92 4AGZE in trouble
Hey all, I have been very quiet for the past 2 years after getting my MR2 engine replaced with a transplanted AE92 4AGZE from Fensport. The reason is a lot has gone wrong with it and I have barely driven it since it has been installed. The elsectrics were all shot in the engine and needed an entire ...

Re: [MK1] New Member with SC Conversion, now with added pics!
Yuppers it's been well worth it. Great fun to drive and seems to be running well too. Ollie, I'm actually based in Hants, not too far from Guildford. Watford is where I had it wired. I would love to go to some meets but will prolly keep it closer to me, look up the Guildford ones etc, thanks for the...

Have the car back now and it's great! Picking it up from the garage tomorrow after some fine tuning and caliper cleaning for it's mot retest
(failed the first one on handbrake).

I'll hopefully post some pictures of it after this weekend.

Cheers,

Jack

Re: [MK1] New Member with SC Conversion, now with added pics!
More Good News! It lives, it lives! All running now, Stuart found a broken wire in the engine loom. It runs, sounds awesome apparantly and is fearsome as expected! Apparantly eninge is from a 1987 Trueno Sprinter a slightly different model to the LEvin (pop up headlights). No heating issues just som...

Re: Centre Caps
I've got the same for my allies, you can try CAR
(or whatever it is now) possibly Halfords.

Otherwise you can try and contact the manufacturer directly and ask for some to
'show off their brand!'

Hope that helps.

Re: aaarrrrggg damm car and me
Lolz (sorry but I did) Never done that but did drive a fair way before remembering I hadn't put the oil cap back on, pulled over and had to wait for engine to cool to retrieve it from the depths.... :) Also in first car (Metro hatchback, pre-MR2 I was the destroyer of Metro's) regulary forgot to che...

Re: [MK1] New Member with SC Conversion, now with added pics!
Good news!

A spark has been acquired and it now starts up adn runs for approx 10 seconds before cutting out.

Stuart started it up for me over the phone and it sounds good!

Hopefully it will be completed soon(tm)!

Cheers,

Jack

Re: [MK1] New Member with SC Conversion, now with added pics!
Have spoken to Stuart and he's not been well with man flu (had it myself as well, not nice!) but he's working on it again. He's had a look at Mart's post but the differences to what we have even as an AE92 are so great it is difficult to apply the info. Apparantly the colours are all different the c...

Re: [MK1] New Member with SC Conversion, now with added pics!
Hi all, Right this has not got any further for some time due to issues with getting a spark. I was wondering if anyone who has had this done via the Fensport kit be willing to talk\email with Stuart who's doing the wiring. He mostly appears to have got it all up and running, the engine turns over ho...

Re: [MK1] New Member with SC Conversion, now with added pics!
An excellent conversion to do I think! I believe a member here is getting some SC lids build that will fit the N/A catch assembly, worth thinking about, chargecooler sounds like fun too. I have a similar kind of issue with the paint spray but the last person who had a go found the correct Toyota Ice...

Re: [MK1] New Member with SC Conversion, now with added pics!
Oh god. The wiring just has been a nightmare for this one. Stuart's doing his best and pulling them through but apparantly I have a 4agz ECU and very few wiring diagrams match it. I'm not sure what the differnec eis between that and the 4agz'E' is, Stuart reckoned it might be a weird import somewher...

Re: SC Conversion
Hi there, I'm doing an AE92 SC conversion atm, I acquired my engine from www.fensport.co.uk and in total with mechanics doing the work rather then me it will prolly cost around 3K (ulp). Came across this recently as well: http://www.woodsport.org/index.html but have no idea on quality or goodness. H...
