[Mk2] [NA] URGENT ADVICE REQUIRED.

Post by cyeats »

HI GUYS,

In need to some advice. I have a 1994 toyota mr2 g-limited with only 120k on the clock. Car is in perfectly working order apart from the wing panel which needs replacing (i have the spare) and handbrake cable (i have the spare too).

Cars is in black and has never given me any problems apart from clutch and break pads which have been replaced.

Car also has pioneer stereo fitted. Basically this car is in good conditon and running order just need some tlc and you have a fantastic car.

Only issue is that its registered in spain as im from spain but have been in the uk for 8 years and have had it here in the uk for 3 years.

The issue i see is that any potential buyer would have to register the car in the uk, but i have also lost my log book (spanish one) thus meaning i cant sell it with a log book.

Does anyone have some advice if i am still able to sell it as the buyer would have to register it anyway, or maybe someone knows of a good garage that might give me money for it for spares. (looking for about £1000) as the car works perfectly and im only selling it because i am moving back to spain and it is a right hand drive.

If any one is intrested in purchasing the car or can help me then im open to suggestions.

Cheers

Chris

Cant you just contact the Spanish equivalent of the DVLA and get a new log book sent out?

Hate to say it but no one should ever be buying a car without a log book!

if your gonna break it up, just break it !!!

you wont be about the sell it without a log book as the man says and if you import it properly, your gonna get stuffed for the tax and admin fees etc.

If its a rev3 then you should be able to get back £1000 in bits, if you have space to break it that is...

A garage, if they were interested in buying it from you, would only give you £200-£300 i suspect, even if its a niceish car.

Best post up some picks and go from there.
We ALL make mistakes !!! :)
