[Mk2] [Generic] Upgrading to those all rubber new style wiper blades (pics)

Post by ryan »

After paying out 31 quid on OE wipers and STILL getting lift at high speed, ive finally managed to get hold of these new style wiper blades as seen on new cars these days

I've not had chance to test the wipers at higher speeds yet, as i've only just fitted them to the car. The wipers really 'bend' into the windscreen, so i'm hoping they'll be better especially as there is no wiper 'frame' to catch the wind.
Cosmetically, they do look a bit odd from inside the car; the adaptor does look a bit hamfisted, but the fit was good. One problem was i've been sent an 18 ich passenger, it should be 19...
I'll get back to you with my opinion on these in a day or two....

i've had those classic fusion blades on mine for 6 months+ they skip a chunk of the windscreen at about 85 or so on the drivers side

i used to have some of those too. they definately help with the lift problem (ie normal blades lifted at 70 mph, and it was 80 + when the classic fusions started to miss the screen).
