Sort the classified section out!!!

Post by Racy Jace »

Hi. I think the classified section should be split into catagories to make it easier to find what your after. ie "cars for sale" and "Parts for sale"

I disagree, I think it is fine the way it is. Having too many sub catagories makes it confusing to navigate

Hi, How can 2-3 sections be confusing ](*,) ??? All you need is

cars for sale
Parts for sale
non related mr2

Its simple

Just go to other car clubs and youll see that they seperate them as it saves time. This means you dont have to go through pages of items you arent even interested in thus being a more efficient saving time. \:D/

If the IMOC for sale section section was that well designed and efficient at doing its job, other web sites would do the same layout, but they dont.

The best way to settle this would be to do a poll and see what the people want. If they like it the way it is then leave it. If not change it. You cant get faire than that :)

We don't have non=MR2 related items for sale on IMOC at all though, that's why there's ebay.

As above, don't want or need a non MR2 item section but we DO need the for sale forum broke down into say two sections at least such as .... cars for sale an parts for sale just to make life a bit more simple.

cars and parts i can live with.

its the mr2oc classifieds that is a really bad example of how to work things. I HATE the new design over there with a passion. its poor.

Cars and parts is a good idea. dont break it down too much tho. just thewm two.

ha ha, I'm with you guys! Cars and parts is fine, as long as its not Mk1/Mk2/Mk3 parts and Mk1/Mk2/Mk3 cars - waaaaay to confusing! Yes that certain other Mr2 forum classified section is appalling

Personally I'd rather it was split by mark than cars/parts. Mk2 and mk3 hold no interest to me and yet the wanted/for sale forums are flooded by mk2 stuff making it easy to miss the odd mk1 item that slips through. On the other hand I'm just as likely to want to read about a mk1 car as I am a mk1 part.

Sorry but I disagree... I spend a lot of my time on IMOC browsing the forsale section, mainly looking for mk1 or Mk2 tubby parts AND cars, I do not want to have to browse four seperate sections, one is enough, if you have to do something then seperate parts from cars but no more than that please!

OK, looks like the general take is positive so far to a potential cars / parts split.

As for helping people find the right parts - its really upto the posters to describe their items properly - if they do, they're more likely to sell them ..

Ok, it's done, so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully we'll stick with it.
