There are lots of different shades of 040 so be careful with that one
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

i took a side vent to my local paint supplier, they supplied 040 superwhite 2, but toned it down to match the colour fade of a 12 year old car.

yea best to take it to a local paint shop to get the proper match. Just looked on my paint mixing software and theres 4 variants -

Standard
Yellower
Greener
Yellower and Lighter

If you order online make sure you tell them its Super White 2 as my mixing software says the 040 code is also used for Super White (Indonesia), Freedom White (Philippines), Glacier White (Taiwan) which all have different pannel numbers which means the colour is different.

Oh and our paint (040 white) has 4 different colours in if you wanted to know :) (White, Red, Yellow and black)

marty1,

I used to buy from Dingbro but their standox range really needs matching against chips (it's very blue). I know Autosave is Dingbro's "retail" side of the business -is it worth a phone call to them to check (I never checked before but they ARE the same company), planty of Autosaves in Aberdeen as well.

If you're stuck I can get paint from McGreggors in Inverness and I'm working in Aberdeen Mon-Friday so could bring a tin down.

Wait -maybe better is they do mail order paint as well. It might be worth a shot. I know I've put other folk towards MacGreggors before for mail-order stuff. They're really good prices in there as well -I bought everything to re-paint my Caddy from them a couple of months ago!!!!

...If you want to try MacGregors on the phone -call them and ask to speak to someone in their auto paint counter. I can't remember but think his name is Andy -they're not open Saturdays unfortunately though.
