AE101 Supercharged engine sourced from Fensport, and installed by Northampton Motorsport just a few months ago at a cost of
£4000! They've done an incredible job, and even installed an oil cooler and re-baffled the sump should it get used for trackdays! On the rolling road, it produced 180BHP because of the large pulley kit was also installed.
The car has only done about 500 miles since the engine was installed and it runs beautifully. It also had a new clutch at this time. KYB shocks
(slightly stiffer and lower than stock, non-adjustable from Fensport). Work carried out by Northampton Motorsport and all bushes replaced at the same time. The brakes have been fitted with braided hoses.
Standard discs but Green Stuff pads (although to be honest I think they need changing soon). The car is fitted with 15 inch, 5 spoke alloys, but will be sold with the original
'teardrop' 14"s as well. The engine bay lid hasn't been converted yet to give appropriate cooling vents for the SC but a temporary fix is in place which works incredibly well!
The body work was next on the list of things to be done so is a little bit shabby.
Rear aches were cut back and rebuilt last year 'to a standard' but they're not concourse. The underneath of the car had good attention last year too and is very sound and has been treated. The front of the offside front wing needs some attention too. All in all, the car is very solid, and needs very little work to make it into a super little road car. The car is presently in storage, and needs both an MOT and tax, but I am confident it will pass the MOT.
I am advertising the car on behalf of my son, who bought the car earlier this year, but unfortunately, the insurance is far too much for him.
