Wheel centre caps?

Post by samgpr50 »

Hi again,

Has anyone got any idea what caps will fit my te37s?

http://www.part-box.com/products.php?br ... entre-caps

Looking on here but it doesn't say fitment.

I own some genuine flat white caps but I actually have some cheap asian fakes fitted: https://www.ioffer.com/i/vr-volk-wheel- ... -554267190

Why? Because I think they look better... although the supplied blue colour fades very quickly, so I now have the blue parts sprayed and lacquered 8B6 to match my bodywork.

Genuine but boring:

Fake but pretty:

That's a long way round for me to say that those fit my TE37s - 62mm / 66mm diameter as stated on the advert. As you can see, there is a gap between the flush surface on the wheel and the larger of those two diameters though, so I'd expect a flush cap would need to be 67mm or 68mm?

Thank you!!! I was looking at the flat ones but there is no way to make them fit. I take it yours are 17"? Also is that where you got them from? If so I might just have to try some. Only problem will they suit my wheels? Also please excuse the calipers they will be painted soon.

Yes mine are 17" and yes, I got the caps from iOffer (which is akin to ebay stuck on buy it now / best offer mode). There are a few different styles available on there: https://www.ioffer.com/search/items/volk+cap

But, as I said, mine did fade, so I'd suggest some paint work is advisable (at which point you can have them whatever colour you want!)

As for flat caps, yes you can clearly get some that fit. I've toyed with the idea of selling my genuine center caps but decided against it for now. They're not mint anyway.

Thank you VERY much! I am going to try the blue for now as I figure the bright contrast of the nuts and center might work in some weird way. If not its paint them black. I will place my order now.

You're very welcome :thumleft:

Just bear in mind that my photo of them being faded was taken less than two month after fitting. With paint they're still looking good after being fitted for a couple of years \:D/

Haha I don't blame you. Should change it to show me your te37s....

Then there is the moment when you park and everything lines up perfectly.

Epic.. I don't think that's ever happened to me!

TBH, if I was really pic-whoring, I'd have posted this photo showing that the centre caps are quite good at hide and seek:

Im on the look out for some Toms ones, looking for the VR volk ray style ones but with no luck. I wonder if there is anywhere that would custom make them :-k

You might find somewhere but I imagine it would be expensive.

Amazingly no I reversed on the drive and it was like that.

Thanks :thumleft:

Took me a while to find the right car for me... but after every car show, no matter what impressive and exotic Japanese machinery I've seen, I'm always driving away my favourite car from the show.
