[Mk2] [Turbo] EBC Setup

Post by mr2nut123 »

When setting up an EBC (Blitz DSBS in this case), do you set the boost as psi or bar when programming it? Just curious as I may be getting one soon and haven't fit/used one before.

Also, do you still leave the FCD wired to the ECU from when I was using an MBC or does this need to be removed?

You will need the FCD to boost beyond factory levels.

The DSBC does not indicate in bar or psi. it shows boost in HkPa.
(1.00 hkPa= 14.50 psi)

When setting the boost levels in the EBC, the numbers are a percentage ratio. 0 equals stock boost and 100 represents the max the turbo can achieve.

Best bet is to have it set on a dyno while monitoring with a wideband. Once its set, you shouldn't have to readjust it until you add more mods to the motor.

I've got an aftermarket boost gauge in a pod so will I just be able to plug it in on 0 and this should give me standard boost, then just adjust it bit by bit until I reach my desired boost level right?

Yes you can do that.
Have you read the install/user instructions? They are available for download on the Blitz website.

IIRC I posted install links and the owners manual in your other thread.
