Stainless exhausts for mk1

Post by STURGE »

Hi all
Just joined the club and thought I would see if anyone out there can help me.
I bought a Magnex rear box off E-Bay before Xmas and I have only recently got round to trying to fit it. I wrongly assumed that it was a direct replacement for the standard toyota item.
I have contacted Magnex to try and buy the front section, but they won't sell it on its own.
I have priced up having the section made up from stainless, but this is too costly.
Does anyone out there have a Magnex front section to fit a MK1 b that they want to sell?

Heres hoping!

I had a similar problem - my front flexi is leaking. When I contacted magnex they advised that I could get a new flexi from my local motor factors.....NOT helpful.

One of the ebay sellers (ricer rocket) that sell the complete mongoose system offered to sell me a front mongoose section only for £125 - which seemed reasonable and I'm led to believe they're identical to the magnex items.

Might be worth giving them a call/e-mail ([email protected]
).

imho the mongoose sounds pants, the janspeed sounds ten times better. or even better than that a box straight off the downpipe if you like wearing ear plugs that is

Apparently when my exhaust pops it throws a flame out the back? Not seen it myself but when i drove past my mechanics garage last night it did it.

Mongoose front pipe

Post by STURGE »

Glad to see it isn't only me who has been having the exhaust problems.

If you've had 4 enquiries for the front pipes does this entitle me to a huge discount for starting this thread. HA HA HA ...Only joking

If you will keep the fitting kit deal open for a few weeks I will have a front pipe, but I will have to wait till pay day. Just moving house and I'm skint. Bloody stamp duty....Money for nothing.
