[Mk2] [Turbo] Anyone got any pics of MR2s lowered with no kit?

Post by Sub_Culture »

As title suggests....

Thinking of building another MR2 tubby but spent so long thinking about different bodykits, Im thinking about not bothering with one at all and just keep it all engine orientated, nice set of wheels and just drive the bloody thing!

BUT... how cool can a non kitted '2 look (probably a Rev3) slammed on it's ar$e? Anyone got one nice and low? Would be very grateful to see a pic or two.

Thanking yew!

They look nice lowered and standard I think. I was wanting one with a body kit untill I saw a lowered standard one with 18" Oz wheels, now Im not that bothered about a bodykit (maybe just a border front bumper).

Plus De-Badging the front makes a big difference as well I think.

It's good to see someone who loves the Mister 2 for how it actually looks!!!

Some kits do look great but with the car now becoming less regular on the roads it will be good to see one looking the way the good lord intended! :D

Get some 16" two / 3 piece rims on and it will look sweet mate! Much the same as errrm

mine :D

Here's my rev 3 on coilovers with 15" wheels. I'd say it's dropped about 30mm all round. Can't lower it much more as the rear tyres rub on the arches.

Thanks loads for the pictures, guys. I quite agree... you dont need a full kit at all to make them look super spesh! Perhaps just an aftermarket subtle front splitter, nice and (sensibly) low, some nice wheels, and I think I will be pretty happy.

Right, best get me saving hat on! I reckon I can save realistically about £400-500 a month, so hopefully I should be done by the summer and have a car on me drive!
