Another Newbie - saying hello before purchasing

Hi chaps,

Chris here. I thought I would post a hello thread and think this is the place to do it!

I am in the market for a MK2 turbo, not sure if I am going for rev2 or 3 yet. I made my mind up to go for the MR2 recently after considering something like a skyline, S14 or rover turbo

I also post on Pistonheads so may have seen some of you on there.

My first car was a 200sx S13 which I had for a year - it cost me an arm and a leg to run! Then I purchased a Sierra which I was planning to tramp drift, but it was so boring I avoided driving it on a day to day basis. Sold that last week, and recently secured a new job up town starting in September so I thought I would treat myself

This new car will also be my Le Mans chariot, I hope there are some fellow lemonballers on here.

Have to say that I looked over a few forums and this appeared to be the best mr2 forum I found. It looks like a great place, and the garage, buyers guides, 1/4 mile times etc are really cool features and I am very impressed!

Will be trying to get along to some meets soon and get chatting to some owners.

the biggest decision you need to make regarding which model to go for is your budget and what sort of power level you are looking for
i think there are a few members that do the le mans thing, keep an eye out in the events section
take a look around in the for sale section, no better than place to buy a car than an owners club - all the best cars
