Changing bulb for rear fog light button

Post by MattMR2 »

I've noticed that the bulb behind the button that turns the rear fog light on and off has blown in my 1996 MKII. The front fog light button is still illuminated.

Does anyone have any tips on how to replace this buld before I start bashing away and making mistakes? I'm hoping the button just pops off.

I'd also be interested to know which type of bulb I should get as a replacement as I've seen posts where people have used funky coloured LEDs.
If its a fiddle I might as well replace the other bulbs near it whilst I'm there.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

How it is done

Well in case anyone wants to know the casing pops put quite easily.
Just get a very thin knife or screwdriver and ease it out from the bottom.
