My MR2 has two slots for Entertainment.... Currently got the Toyota Factory Fitted CD player (disconnected) and a nice Sony Head Unit.

If I remove the Toyota Head Unit, I'll need a DVD system that can either just take up one slot (motorized pop out with inbuilt DVD) or a combi unit that can have the DVD drive in the boot or something....

Will this work? Which is better? I could mount the DVD drive boot / behind Passenger Seat etc.

I'd be tempted to ditch the Sony and get an in dash DVD player with multichanger and a flip out screen - I fancy the double DIN Caska unit on the site I posted above - £339 plus delivery, for the others you are looking at around £180 for an in dash DVD and flip out screen.

Yeah, quite what I'd like....

BUT, the Sony controls two amps, which control two subs etc etc...

I'd need to get a seperate? Can My 2 handle that?

when i 1st started to look for mine. i was going to go for the dvd/screen in one unit ( i think the model was the avx7300dvd) but when i got into the shop it was cheaper to buy just the screen (avx7300) and a sperate dvd to go in the 2nd DIN. Also the advantages were that the seperate dvd would play mp3 and multiregion dvd's.

another way you could is to get a dvd auto changer ?? then u have a free din slot if u wanted to add anythign at a later date (ie sat nav etc..)

i found car audio security good. also there ex demo stuff. (which i got my processor unit from) even though its ex demo still comes with 1 yrs warrenty.
