Head Gasket again....

Post by Paul R »

Hi,

I'm still unsure which head gasket to get!

Chris has recommended that I get the 1.8mm cometic head gasket to lower the compression ratio a bit as the JE pistons that I'm going to be using will raise the compression ratio slightly.

Has anyone else got one fo these gaskets? and good/bad points?

Whats the worst side affect from using this gasket?
Whats the best side affect from using this gasket?

Sorry for asking again, but I really want to get this right!

Cheers,

Paul.

Thanks JJ, I'm scared about changing these things in my engine. Modifying the actual internals is all new to me! :-)

Plenty of people on here to give advice... both chris and I normally talk the same language when it comes to modifying - we've independantly drawn up conclusions for the way forward and usually ended up with pretty much the same list ! :D
