Shell Helix HX7 .... suitable for '91 N/A?

Post by HighwayStar »

As per the title really.

I've been recommended this 10w - 40 oil but after looking for availability on the Halfords website their website says it's NOT suitable.

Anyone know or are there any specific recommendations for what people are using at present?

Any advice as ever is most appreciated.

Thx R

A good quality 10w40 Semi Synt will be fine for a N/A. I assume you change it every year and it doesn't do mega mileage. If so i wouldn't worry about it. People put way too much emphasis on tiny specifics with oil when they have no scientific evidence they're right and rely on anecdotes.
Again a quality Semi Syn from a major manufacturer will be fine 10w40 seems like a good all rounder if your car doesn't burn much oil.
