Black Rev3 1994 T-Bar GTS

Post by Scott Barton »

Never thought I would ever write this post again... but after 22 years of MR2 ownership, I have a new car itch to scratch. I always vowed it would have to be an exceptional replacement to tempt me away from this MR2. And I think I have found just the car.
So, up for sale is my 1994 Rev3 T-Bar GTS.

Quite simply, this car wants for nothing.
Any work or modification has been meticulously carried out, using only OEM, new, or exceptional quality items.

Winner of the MR2DC 'Best modified' category on two occasions, and a feature car in MR2Only magazine.

Oh man, knew that day was coming but so soon?

A beautiful example. The very lucky new owner to have such a well cared for MR2 Turbo!

Would have commented on FB but banned again 🤣😂🤣

I have given myself a 3 month target to get the new car. Realistic to think the MR2 will take a while to sell so no harm in getting it out there now.
Its when my ar$e will go when someone contacts me to put a deposit on and I am nowhere near ready on getting the replacement!

Gorgeous car Scott, always said if this car or the black Phoenix Power one came up for sale.
I've been looking at the mr2 scene again recently, be hard to sell my Z4m but for some reason I miss having the engine behind me with the 3s chorus.

Hope it goes to a fanatic, and not stripped for the expensive parts and sold on again like what happened to mine.

Going to have a hard think.

scott, good luck with the sale. have you considered contacting a company like "dream car giveaways" as they usually pay top £ for cars, and yours is pristine. :thumleft:

You may well regret it or you could move on to bigger and better things and never look back. You won't know until you do it :)

I have to say I still regret selling mine despite some "superior" replacements but I think that's mainly down to the fact I loved working on it and have a fondness of the "scene" that went with it all those years ago.

(On the plus side, for me anyway, I've come out of hibernation to be part of this notable moment in MR2 history).

Turbo for sale

Post by MR2TRD8 »

Nice car with loads of rare expensive bits on it and a forged build.

There actually hasn't been any nice turbos for sale since that 700hp rev4 not just on here but anywhere in general.

You realise your recaro confetti's if they are mint are worth £1600+ now?

Good luck with the sale I hope it goes to a good owner :thumleft:

Worth every penny of the asking price or more.

There really aren't many nice mr2s around

Fastasfkk did you regret selling your one? It was me who stabbed an offer against your car on eBay but someone else bought it

Such a clean car tho, I keep toying with the idea of selling mine but I have no idea what to replace it with.
