So I've been mooching around in the engine bay of the recently purchased Mk2 and came across this EGR setup. Has this been blocked off correctly as it looks a bit bodged?
Also, what could the microswitch arrangment be that is fixed to the EGR blank plate? It has 2 spade connectors and a contact piece which touches the throttle spindle bracket thingy when the throttle is not open.

Mot sure what the micro switch thing is.. but EGR plank plate is fine..
same as i did on our audi, skud, my mk2.. celica..
Also make sure the pipe from the circle thing (i never remember th name) to the EGR valve 9pipe is no longer there in you pic) is blocked off other wise you'll have a vac leak.. but guessing who ever done it seems to have done it right so doub't youd have a problem..
as for micro switch.. no idea
