[Mk2] [NA] Radiator and coolant change advice

Need to change radiator next week....do I need to lift the back of the car up to aid bleeding....I did this on my mk1 and seemed to help...any tips and advice.

no.

you will want to get the bottom covers off and drain the system from the 2 bolts on the coolant pipes. Got loads more of the old coolant out. lifting the rear did help with draining them.

make sure the heater is turned to hot for the whole job.

watch out for snapped bolts when taking the covers off.

make sure you have the 2 bleeding hoses for the front.

change the thermostat while doing the job, saves opening up the system twice.
