Turbo Sounds

Bit of a nooby question, but will I hear more "turbo" noises such as spooling come from fitting a decat downpipe and cat back exhaust?

More like exhaust noise from removing the restrictive cat and switching to an aftermarket exhaust system. Gaining a few bhp and losing the weight of the heavy cat.

Get yourself an induction kit to make the most of the sounds.

Lol yeah the sound is gonna be nuts.

I've got a Blitz SUS induction kit which does make a cracking sound, however I'm worried I'm not going to be able to hear it anymore over the aftermarket exhaust and the lack of a cat!

I've got a ko racing induction kit, decat and HKS exhaust. Can still hear the induction noise.

Nice, I've heard the Japspeed exhaust is considerably louder than the HKS so hopefully it's still there

The freer flowing the exhaust, the more turbine you will hear.

I had a ct20b > Berk DP > 3" mandrel bent pipe. You could hear the turbine on decel.

ARC box is insane for intake sound, you can hear everything the turbo is doing

I love the look of your car dave , it defo has a strong presence, when it gets into your desired power bracket it will be a beast

You may hear her spooling, especially if you have all the bolt on mods and a decent boost controller giving you quick response and higher boost pressure.
It can be heard through the induction but it is something you have to listen out for, on a car driven daily it is all to easy to become an insignificant sound.

I only notice different noises on upgraded turbos, I have a small clip from a while ago on my phone from my current car, nothing great and not worth uploading, however I will upload it to youtube so you have something to compare your car to....
