Rough idle and stalling after cleaning of ISCV

Post by GreddyMR2 »

Hi there,

I have a little annoying problem.
I have cleaned the ISCV and now car is stalling at idle. When I start the engine, revs holding ok at 800 rpm, but when I rev a bit, revs drop to 0.
When I disconnect the ISCV, everything is ok, so the problem s there right? But how can I solve it? I removed TB and and checked the ISCV and everything seems fine with it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

can you hear it clicking open and closed (with 12+ power to its terminals)

you dont need to start the car, or even remove the iscv, just unplug the connector. (check bgb which to give 12v and ground to).

a clean iscv, you should be able to hear it open and close.

I am using adaptronic standalone and I heard it clicking when I connected my laptop and tested various things, like boost solenoid, iscv etc. So seems like it's working. I check the wires from ecu to iscv and all are good.

Also, when the car is cold, vacuum and revs is fluctuating.

One more thing.
There is a bolt at top of the TB and I have tightened it all the way. Maybe I should play with it a bit or should it be screwed in fully?

that's the idle screw. that would of been at a certain position good for idle and off that the TPS sensor would be set.

By changing its position the TPS sensor will now probably be out (throttle position sensor).

In the BGB there instructions on how to setup the TPS.
