Valuation ...

Post by Connor376 »

Hi all

So I'm just curious as to the value of my car or what you think its worth.

As it stands

Shell has 98k
Engine + Box has 71000 (clocks read 71 as they came from the turbo car)
Its a 1992 G Limited with a Rev1 Turbo conversion.
Test until July 2015
Imported in 99

Has a load of goodies yet to go on, Peter @ SBITS will be fitting all of them for me hopefully in January.
Ideally i would like a valuation of the car as it is now and with the extras added

Extras i have are
CT20b
Decat
Japspeed exhaust
Manual Boost Controller
Greddy BOV (wont be installed until i get a rev3 loom and ecu etc)

Any help guys?

Thnx

If you're trying to sell at the moment, I'd guess about £1500. Maybe a couple of hundred more with the mods listed?

Looking to keep it to be honest buddy, want to get all the extras on and make it look something special!

We have a baby on the way so selling would be a LAST resort.

Don't worry about the value then, just enjoy it :thumleft:

IMO Mr2's are so cheap they're not worth selling anyway. If I had my way I'd have about 10 of them

I don't think those extras will add any value to the car itself. None of them are particulary special unfortunately.

as for the value of the car itself, maybe £1200-£1300 IMO.

But as said, if you're not looking to sell it then it's all irrelevant unless you are looking at a fixed price insurance.

I have a rev 2 turbo T bar at present in black - about 89k i think.

Had this for about 3 years now, plenty of Mr2's in the past before moving onto a few Evo's including a TME (which wish i never sold - but hey)

The Mr2 i now have is in Pretty good condition, whats it worth £1200 - £1750 i would have thought.

If i wanted another car - would i sell - maybe but i would be likely to keep it anyway - if its only worth the above. Id just insure on a classic policy and use when the weather is nice.

These cars are bargains these days for the performance you get. Personally if you have a decent one, you may aswell keep it as a second car - or just tuck it away in the garage

I always browse these for sale forums to see if another mr2 tubby comes that takes my fancy for a few £000 :thumleft:

Mines been sprayed within the last 12 months, thats got some paintwork which needs looking at.

With respect, it's very rare you get the same revision, same colour and same spec mr2.

I said they were similar asthe colours the same, wheels were alike and there are pros and cons for both. In my opinion they would be worth a similar value.
