Does anyone know this mr2?

Post by c20let »

Haven't been on here in quite a while, but have been considering possibly getting another mr2 turbo.

Had a red rev 2, then a white rev3, looking to possibly get another rev 3 or newer.

Came across one on eBay, item number 171541713088 . Does anyone recognise it? 1994 rev 3 for sale in Scotland.

Any info on history or previous owners would be appreciated. (He does mention IMOC in the advert).

Nope not mines. I haven't owned an mr2 since 2010.

Just fancy either another one of these or a vx220. Hoping there's someone on here who knows the car.

Hope so, it does look good in the pics. Always thought I'd go for another white one, but this has caught my eye. Also it's only a few hours drive from me so not too bad.

What's the going rate for an mr2 with that spec etc these days?

Looks really nice but considering there have been a few people struggling to get a decent value for their mr2 recently i think you will find one much cheaper. There is a nice one ive seen in person nearby me for £1800, bodywork needs a little bit of attention (not alot) but its £3000 cheaper than that one

Yeah tricky valuing a car , like how longs a piece of string ... cars spec , mileage .. body and maniacal condition .. I would put in a cheeky offer , but £4800's a bit much . .. the biggest factor is whats the car worth to you .

I've already put in one cheeky(ish) offer which was declined

Price did seem steep to me, but to be honest I haven't really paid much attention to mr2 prices for the last few years, so wasn't sure.

Not really been watching prices but 3000 to 3500 for a half descent tubby .. but this looks well sorted .. so like i said .. it really is about what you think its worth .. maybe go look at it .. plus you get to haggle face to face :thumleft:

From pics and spec i'd be around 4000 to 4200 .. really need to see it in person to make a decision. . . might be worth every penny of 4800 you just cant tell from a write up and pics .

You could get a fresh import for that sort of money though, check ebay for the ones listed. Maybe even a rev5 =;

yeh, given there are fresh rev4 imports on ebay at 6k-7k, finding a "fresh" import rev5 for under 5k is optimistic.

You probably could by a Rev5 Turbo for ~£5k. You won't get it to the UK for that price though.

I have a fairly stock rev5 turbo tintop coming from japan - due Jan 2015 - if I decide to sell will be priced at around £5k-£5500

Grade 3.5

I wrote a sentence.......
:study:
Then i wrote "Maybe even a rev5" in a different sentence.

In early years terms i meant you could get a fresh import turbo (same revision) for that sort of money OR you might be able to get a Revision 5 turbo (that has already spent time in UK) for that sort of money.. Hope that helps :thumleft:
