Apparently grunty but nowhere near Japspeed loud. I would think it would be fine.

Judging by this video it does seem loud but still doesn't sound like it compares to my japspeed.

Money comes into it as it's my cheap track toy

5zigen aren't too expensive, I'm sure my quote for one imported from Japan was around £530 inc delivery cost. Sound lovely too.

Have you considered a custom one? A catback system is around £3-350 and you can have it as loud or as quiet as you like.

Brilliant. You can't really argue for that price. You might want to keep your current cat and backbox for MOT though, as that looks like it bypasses the cat completely.

I have a toyosports exhaust on my NA ( Exactly the same ) and yeah its pretty loud.... get a lot of people staring

It removes the cat aswell and I have to say high in the revs it sounds brilliant.

Let us know when you have it fitted and what you think. I'm in a similar situation with an old exhaust and i only really use the mr2 for track days.

Just out of interest what did you with regards to the brackets? my one came with two weird tab looking things and never got round to welding the old brackets on to it so ended up bodging it :)
