[Mk2] [Turbo] link g3+ mapping

Post by dai21t »

Can anyone recommend someone to tweak the map on my ecu. I have tried ryan of 2 bar tuning who is the one that did the map a few years ago, but he says he no longer does link ecu's?

Thanks.
Dai.

Ive sent them an email, was after some personal recommendations as well. The car has only just gone back on the road after sitting in the garage for the last four years so want toget it working as it should.

Sorry I can't give you any personal recommendation because I'm still running the standard rcu.

I have however got a Link G4 for my engine rebuild this year so I'm looking for great things from them or other msppers

I've heard bad things about Thor. Cars making the numbers then going pop half an hour down the road.

Yes keep clear of Thor, they damaged 2 engines on a friends car after fitting a Link ECU

I am sure he can still do them but he must want to sell the ECU that he now likes.

I can understand he wants to sell the latest ones, but I bought this one off him years ago! I dont see why he no longer maps them, especially when his site stills shows link ecu as one he recommends. Anyway, back on topic, anyone else recommended for mapping these ecu's?
Maybe if a rolling road day was organised for a few people with this ecu then he may do them?

I tried Rogue, but they don't map cars, they use Thor.

Fusion Motorsport. These guys mapped my Charade Turbo and did a heap of work on the MR2.

Call and ask for Ed, tell him Sam recommended you. Just don't ask him to do your clutch

I also have a link g3. Ryan mapped mine few years back, I wanted my map tweaked once my new engine is installed. I don't trust anyone else  :

hi buddy,

google search.. indigo gt.. they are based in tredegar (Newport way). I've never used them myself but they have a very good rep and my mate went there with his misfiring imprezza which was sorted by them very professionally.

when I get round to grabbing a link ecu for my beams these will be the people I try first.

best of luck,

james

Ive emailed them, waiting to hear back from Antony. Its only about 1 hour from my house as well :thumleft:

Only other reply I have had is from Thor, but they are nearly a 4 hour drive each way.
