ah ok, think there's a place called "the garage" (not the venue) in or near glasgow, they are very comfortable with mr2s so i believe :thumleft:

I've travelled to Peter at Sbits twice for scheduled cambelt changes but whether you'd want to drive that distance when the damn thing is groaning is another matter..

Could try Kenneth brown in hillington they should be able to do it. I always try things myself now or try to talk htmlangel on here into helping me as its pretty hard to find anyone to work on mr2s in and around Glasgow.

A good local garage would have no problem ...it is only a car after all ...just access issues at times ;)

I use my local garage in scottish borders. the guys there have worked on a few MR2 's and do all my work. They replaced (previous owners)blown engine for me and set up new cambelt, etc.

But im on opposite side of the country tho.

Hi Andy,

Our workshop in Cramlington Northumberland is about 160 miles from Irvine (a journey i have made many times as i used to live in your neck of the woods years ago).

We have quite a few regular customers venture down from north of the border :D

Everything is based around our £47 per hour labour rate, its very hard to give an exact estimate without seeing the car first, due to the mk2s age now we often find previous mechanical bodgery that needs sorting out

Best just to give me a call one day to chat through a few options ...
