For the last couple of weeks maybe once every few times i drive the car, the clutch pedal seems to have less resistance and the bite point is about an inch from the bottom rather than half way up the pedal.
When this happens it always seems to be when i first start the car and pull away. If i pump the clutch a couple of times everything is back to normal and the problem doesnt normally return on that journey.
Any Idea's? does this sound like the master or slave cylinder?
cheers
Steve

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Clutch Problem
i hardly use the car, but the clutch pedal went through these stages a week ago.
1) top of pedal less resistance, bite point moved about an inch off floor. (pumping pedal gets the pedal and bite point back to normal for rest of the journey)
2) every couple of gear changes it would work as normal or as above
3) pedal stuck to the floor, moving off floor and pumping it would work as above
4) as above but pedal takes ages to spring back up from about half way.
5) pedal stuck to the floor, clutch not working at all
it's in to get fixed now, 2-5 happened on the same 2 mile local journey, that was one interesting drive!
It was the Master.
