Re: Brake banjo bolt washers
You then bend them back up and slide the u clips in to hold them in place
Re: Brake banjo bolt washers
I cut a slot in each of mine so I didn't have to bend the bracket, and as above the u clips should keep the hoses in place.

Re: Brake banjo bolt washers
The washers are not 'crush-washers' They are simply copper washers. They can be re-used without problem despite what you may have read.
The washers will harden over time and when re-using it is wise to anneal them with a blow torch after which they will regain their original flexibility.

I have yet to understand why anyone that has any respect for their car and the individual components fitted to it would ever consider hacking at their struts just to save a couple of minutes of bleeding.

And the copper washers are crush washers, they're made of copper and squash when you tighten onto them: that's the whole point! When it comes to brakes why take a chance? They literally cost pennies to replace...do it properly

Brakes probably need bleeding anyway.
