I left the door of my N/A open last night and this morning the battery was flat. I was in a bit of a panic and tried to jump start it from my other car. Previously this has always worked without a problem. This morning the car wouldn't start so I left it and put the battery on trickle charge for when I get home.
I think that I may have left the key in the ignition and turned on when I connected the jump leads. Could I have shorted something or blown a fuse when I did this? If so what should I be looking for? It may just be that I was in a rush or that I had to link two sets of cables to reach the battery. The engine was turning over (a bit slower than normal) but it would not fire up.
Any advice welcome as I must sort it as soon as I get home.
BTW can anybody recommend a good starter-charger suitable for home use.
Thanks
Flat battery or maybe more?

Then you are a lucky man.
Having said that, a new battery worked wonders on mine.
