TOTB XII 27th-28th July - Is there going to be an IMOC/MR2 team this year?

I'm going to be running my MR2 at TOTB this year having run the Pulsar last year and realising just how difficult it is to get anywhere in the 4wd class

Is there going to be an official team for 2013? I've been mainly developing my 300zx lately (also backup car for TOTB in case the MR2 dies the night before), but the MR2 is pretty much ready to go, just need to finish mapping for 2 bar. Last season it ran 1.45-1.5 bar, 12.3@112, 80% full interior, making it possibly the fastest stock-engined MR2 around. This year, I'm looking to get into the mid-11s without opening the engine. Nothing too special, but more than competitive in the RWD class based on 2012's results.

Santa Pod opens again next Sunday (Jan 20th). I'll be there with the MR2 & Z32

Is there any interest in putting a team together for this year?

Such a shame, last year was the first time I actually competed and it was loads of fun. It's not really changed from say 5-6 years ago apart from it being less 'chavvy'.

Looks like I'll be entering privately or trying to dress the MR2 up as a 300zx and going with them

I reckon we could get 5 cars from here, but it would need some promotion, which I can't do as I'm just a lowly peasant!

The 4wd class is sewn up, and the FWD class is getting that way too. The RWD however is wide open, last year IIRC it was the mental Granada that won it. Not a Supra in sight, either. One big power yellow/black MR2 owned by you-know-who which shat itself after a mid 11s run.

Well, I've started with a sig! I'll stick up some threads in other sections seeing if there is sufficient interest to move ahead.

Should it prove successful and we're able to provide a decent number of cars, would there be backing available from the club (eg marquee, burgers etc)?

I'm a trader over on 300zx.co.uk, and will be involved in that club's presence at TOTB, as well as running the MR2 and looking after a T88-equipped RX7 FC. Last year there was minimal interest on here, which was a bit disappointing, hence I never bothered running the MR2.

Stock everything, ran it at 1.5 bar (22psi) all last season on the T78. I have had forged Wossner pistons on standby for a year now....

My original aim was to keep it completely stock, but it's crying out for cams and a decent inlet manifold.
