[Mk2] [Turbo] I want 450bhp, what do I need
will the stock valves, valve springs and crank etc handle 450bhp? realistically this is as far as I will push my car in the end and need to know what stock parts to upgrade... Fuel pump and turbo are obvious, as are intercooler and pistons but what else?

^What he said. I'd set aside £5K
GT3076 Turbo kit
Stand alone ECU
Kevlar cam belt
Cams
Forged pistons
Forged rods
ARP studs
800cc injectors
Walboro fuel pump
3 bar map sensor
Cams
Decent charge cooler
Free flowing exhaust
Mapping
etc etc etc

Exactly.
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] I want 450bhp, what do I need
if its a rev 3 lump then stock valves and cams but the ports will need cleaning up.
rods are a good idea as well as a full set of ARP fastners.
then a turbo, injectors and ecu capable of running the power along with some form of charge cooling and possibly water/ meth injection

Do not buy anything untill you have the full design of the engine as everything will need to work together.
Designer for turbo set ups on F1 cars, and Nitrous Oxide Systems of the USA in the 80s

Unfortunately they present as having all 3 initially,
with time you would be lucky to end up with 1!
