MR2Turbo1991 wrote:Hi everyone,

As Ant has mentioned, I came accross a friend who has been able to source these. I struggled to find discs at a competative price when I bought one of these great kits from Ant so now I have sourced some good ones at a great price I wanted to share the love. \:D/

Feel free to PM if I can help with the discs :D :thumleft:

Wow! That's a nice price on the discs! I'll wait a little longer till Ant can get the fabrication on the adaptors going, but than I'll defiantly contact you for some discs. Is it possible to get discs the drilled and grooved and nickel plated as well?

Hey GT,

Yes to all, I will try and hunt the pictures of my discs when I got them done to show everyone, if Ant doesn't mind me posting them and doing a small thread hijack. I will say again on Ants behalf, the brackets are really top quality.

Let me know when your ready.

That's absolutely fine to post the pics up so people can see what they'll be getting.

I'll be sending a PM to people shortly just to reconfim taking part in the GB as I have been contacted by another owner (off forum).

If everyone is still in, then we'll be good to get the ball rolling. Watch your inboxes!

Thanks,
Ant

Not too late as still waiting on a couple to reconfirm. Will send a reminder shortly and add your name to the list.

took my new car out for its first spirited drive and locked up on the first hearty use of the brakes (i assumed abs but no...)

so a question before i buy these, is it wise to have bigger brakes when i can easily lock the std sized ones up i have - im not planning to track my car so prolonged hard use isnt an issue

There has been plenty of speculation and discussions over the years about 'if you can lock the brakes they don't need upgrading'. But to me that's always been a null point. The upgrade isn't made to lock them up easier, it's made to give greater resistance to heat and fade, and greater leverage at high speed. Any car can lock small brakes with enough force applied. You dont see performance cars with small brakes though do you.

Big brakes also look better 8)

i see the point about it, however one of the appealling factors is the size in the wheels, and i was interested as i have 17's on the car i bought,i would never of considered them on my old v6 as it had 16's, i may even go back to the std wheels with r888 tyres, ans then just get bettr pads if i need a braking performance increase, so i think ill bow out of the GB

sorry for any trouble i may have caused with numbers

No probs Jason you've got to make the choice thats right for you. Once this GB is finished I'll open another 'name catcher' for the next lot so they're never too far out of reach if you change your mind later on.

Thanks for the feedback, always nice to read.

To the rest of you, I'm sorry for the delay. I had wanted to give everyone a good amount of time to reply to the re-confirmation request, which most of you have done in very good time. There is one person who has not responded, so I will now cross them off the list. So the confirmed list now looks like this:

GT4Ever - Full kit
uglee - Rings only
Kingey - Front only
Kitch - Rear only
TwinTurboTwo - Rear only
Mikey Mahon - Full kit

I'll be messaging each of you today with payment details.

Thanks to each of you for your patience.

Ant

Sorry for the delay all. Just need to get a shipping quote for someone then the messages will go out. Dont want to get anything in motion before ensuring everyone is happy.
