thought id finally get some pictures of my mr2 up was a long build and still ongoing lol ive spent countless hours working/building this
started off as this.... rev1 n/a witha black rattle can paintjob needing a clutch and gearbox no test/tax either lol so as you can imagine it was a total steal
picked myself up a genuine Toms front bumper, also picked up some mint 1/2 leather seats too but no pics lol
found some genuine C-West rear spats
also some genuine C-West 3 piecs skirts
next was a jdm rear bumper and some rev3 tails and the rev3 spoiler ive had lying about since my last mr2 lol
also picked up a genuine el glow rear badge
next were the genuine Work Equip wheels in a bit of a sorry state lol
some Jun style arches fitted and car prepped for paint, was almost gonna paint it yellow hence the yellow graphics but after id spent amonth thinking nabout it i changed my mind...
#
wheels split, stripped, polished, painted and rebuilt + rev3 brakes fitted all round
car painted
custom made door builds
next i carbon wrapped my dash, also changed the heater controls, window switches and ignition ring to blue leds
carbon wrapped my centre panel
new exhaust
phoenix gold amp between seats
sub to match still wip
couple of finished pics of the car
and its currently sitting like this......
i managed to blow the bottom end out of the rev1 engine so im upgrading to a rev4 engine, i had already done a wire tuck (relocated fuse box etc) on my rev1 engine so am going to make it even tidier while im fiitting this rev4 one
theres loads of other work etc that i have put into this that i didnt take pics of tbh lol everything bar the door builds/wire tuck i have done myself, i know the car wont be to everyones tastes but it is to mine C&C welcome

Bloody hell, that's a hell of a "save from the grave" story.
Well played mate, car looks good
Only comment I would say is the wheels need to fill the arches a bit more, seem a little tucked in

Fantastic looking MR2, think you made the right choice ditching the yellow.

i know i stupidly didnt think about this when i bought the wheels but.... i have found a company to manufacture me new lips so i will hopefully have a 4" dish on the current 1"front wheels and putting them on the rear and putting the original wider rears on the fronts lol may also be buying a set of genuine sexystyle mr2 arches which are slightly thinner

Re: my saved from scrap build
looks like there has been a lot of work put in to this project, looks good
have to agree about the wheels though, without being much wider or spaced out it would probably look better without the arches

What a transformation, nothing wrong with yellow although I do really like that blue...

Wow amazing job!! I'd love to transform one like that, just don't have the funds!
I agree with the others though, something strange going on with the Arches/Wheels, doesn't look quite right and I like MR2's with arches on.
Anyway, I applaud you!

Re: my saved from scrap build
so...... been a while since i updated this.....
i picked up some new wheels and ditched the wide arches and flared my own, rolled my fronts and utilised another set of mr2 wings to get the height and width i wanted but retaining the oem look at the same time, also completed my rev4 engine swap and am just waiting on the loom being extended to finish the wire tuck. also changed the suspension for tanabe shocks and springs.
made a replica of a bn sports rear valance...
my garage...
picked up a flocked dash tonight
still a fair bit to do and a garage thats full of parts tho lol

I'm considering making a proper mould of the valance and making a few to sell tbh lol when I get the time though.

There's definitely a crowd for it mate. Maximum crowd for the Tom's rear bumper + diffuser I'd say; but presently it can only be bought to suit a UK plate...
