Square plate at the rear is a good one, or an extra fog light as the JDM didn't come with one.

Other than that, I think you'd struggle and both of those can be sorted easily.

Yes, Japanese cars have them the correct way around, UK cars are backwards. Also the scale on the speedo is different.

Indicator stalk on the right instead of the left, and vice versa for the wiper stalk.

When my MRS got written off the insurers didn't tell the inspector it was an import -it had jap stickers literally everywhere which confused the guy. Jap stickers everywhere including the ones on the back of the sun visors, windscreen, door shuts, air box etc etc. is a giveaway apart from having the indicator thie the right way round (e.g to the right of the steering wheel). If the speedo's been converted cheap also you might be abke to make out blackmarks on it.

I have an image in my head now of a speedo with 10 20 30 scrawled in sharpy pen round the face =;

Thinking about it - thats probably what I'd get if I asked my Mr T main dealer to convert the speedo!

I've had a UK NA and a JDM turbo, both had the indicators on the right.

just have this niggling thought that if I rip out the wiring, then the car will never get out of the garage again.

Still in the garage...
