i have recently modified my side vents to allow greater air flow to engine & boot mount intercooler & also i have grown to like the look of this mod lol,
here goes the project :thumleft:

original vent with border extensions

painted vent holes & securing brackets for rubber satin black

centre piece of vent cut out & fibre glassed

now vents filled & ready for spraying

vents sprayed & ready to go back on

old fire place grille surround used for vent grilling

grille fitted to car

vents back on car just need flatting back & polishing

very nice indeed. was going to get some extenders for mine, the middle cut out neatens it all up a bit

Cheers ye I've always felt the same as you but now I've done them I do prefer them ohh dear ive turned to the dark side lol
The ones I hate are the veilside side skirts with the side vents think they look awful :thumleft:

Thats a different way of doing the mesh, I will do that this time as last time I folded it round the vent and bonded it on.

I thought about doing it that way then decided if i ever needed to spray the side vent it would be a bit of a pain masking or removing the grilling :thumleft:

also i put behind the grille double sided sticking tape just to stop it rubbing through the paint on the body in the future & causing rust to appear :thumleft:

keep thinking about doing the bump strips a darker green, but can't make up my mind :)

looking at your pics - i really need to start looking at fitting my lowered springs. :)
